ChaosTrivia.com implements the following method to allow great tolerance to styling, syntax, and spelling mistakes, and recognize correct answers: All three fields, Answer and the two alternative, are compared with the user's answer. In case one of them is
fully contained in his text, his answer is correct.
The displayed correct answer will always be the "Answer" one.
Example:
-
Q. What is the capital city of the state of Florida, USA?
Answer: Tallahassee.
Now, since there are many ways to mispell that, most correct answers will include the string "lahas" (see within word).
Hence, a good choice would be to set "Altervative 1" as: "lahas".
- The chances that this string will be typed in without having "tallahassee" in mind, are negligible.
